KMOT Pets of the Week: Guinea pigs
Each week, we feature adoptable pets from the Souris Valley Animal Shelter. This week is no different, but we're branching out from your usual cats and dogs.
The first two guinea pigs are Alan Jackson and Johnny Cash. They are both one and half years old. These boys are both very social, good with kids, and would like a home together.
The next two are a mother-daughter pair. Baby Boo is the lighter-colored guinea pig, she is about four weeks old. The shelter is already working on socializing her. Mamma Moo is the darker one. She is about one or two years old. Very friendly and social.
The last guinea pig is Carmelo, she is a year and a half. The shelter says that she would do great as a classroom pet. She is very social, as they let her roam around the lobby, and she gets along well with the front office cats.
If you would like to adopt any of these pets the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday.
