KFYR-TV's first news anchor passed away Wednesday in Mandan at the age of 92.

Jack Swenson's broadcasting career started in the 1940s, and he moved to Bismarck in 1950, serving as news director for KFYR Radio.

When KFYR-TV began in 1953, Jack moved in front of the camera, until he moved to Washington as a Congressional aide in 1956.

Funeral services will be held in his and his wife's hometown in Hines, Minnesota.
