Judge sets half a million dollar bond for Streeter man charged in Bismarck hostage situation

BISMARCK, N.D. - A judge set the bond for a Streeter man accused of holding 11 people hostage last week to half a million dollars in cash.

Forty-four-year-old Shane Dockter is charged with three counts of terrorizing and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Docketer was arrested Friday in connection to two incidents in Bismarck Thursday night.

Docketer is accused of entering a home armed with an AR-15 on Sweet Ave.

Police say 11 people were inside the home including children. Officers say Dockter is also accused of shooting through a window of a home on Patriot Drive the same evening. Police say Docketer knew people in both homes.

A judge set his cash bond and ordered no contact with any of the victim and to surrender all of his firearms.

Bismarck police say they believe family and friends of Dockter's might be storing more of his firearms.

Anyone with information about any firearms that belong to Shane Dockter is asked to call 701-223-1212.
