Investigation continues in Dec. 8 Mandan shooting

MANDAN, N.D. - Mandan Police continue to investigate after meeting with the State’s Attorney Office about the Dec. 8 shooting in Mandan on 1000 block of 1st Street Northwest.

Lt. Pat Haug from the Mandan Police Department says the State’s Attorney's Office requested additional investigation into the motive.

“Has lead to some secondary investigations, which are actively being investigated at this time,” said Haug.

No arrests have been made in connection to this incident yet.

ORIGINAL STORY 12/8/2017: At about 4 p.m. Friday Mandan police say they responded to a report of a shooting on the 1000 block of 1st Street Northwest.

Officials say the victim was taken to the hospital by private citizens.

One person was taken out of the home in handcuffs and put in the back of a police car at the crime scene in Mandan. Police have not said how this person is related to the incident.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrived on scene in Mandan a little before 7 p.m.

Deputy Chief Jason Bier says they are working multiple scenes and are planning to be on scene for several hours tonight.

At this time police are not releasing any more information.
