BISMARCK, N.D. - Deer season is close to being a holiday for many in North Dakota. Hunters are already on the road to go fill their tags.
Jamie Brecht got his tags in July and says he's been excited for it ever since.
He's loading up his gear to hit the road early in the morning. He hunts on his family's property in Western North Dakota.
"Opener looks to be awesome weather for hunting; 18 degrees where I'm going. We already got a little snow on the ground, light wind, clear skies. I don't want to jinx anybody, but I think we're going to get a few on the ground," said Brecht.
The season opens at noon and hunters across the state are ready to start as soon as possible.
