BISMARCK, N.D. - Cold temperatures didn't keep people from visiting the dentist Saturday, the staff at Bismarck's Prairie Rose Family Dentistry took part in the annual Dentists With Heart Day by providing free dental procedures for low-income adults.
The waiting room filled as soon as doors opened this morning. Patients scheduled appointments to keep the things moving smoothly, and to make sure everyone got a chance to see a dentist. Staff says it takes a huge team effort from dentists, assistants and nurses to pull off an event like this.
"It may appear that we take a lot of the credit but that credit is given to those that allow us to do our job and that's most of the girls in the back," said Dr. Tom Ehrhardt, dentist.
An estimated 150 to 200 people received dental care Saturday.
