Burleigh County tried to change polling locations in 2017, catching some legislators by surprise. Now in 2019, the house is trying to keep counties from trying it without notice.
By a vote of 86-7 the house passed HB 1270. The bill would prevent changes to legislative districts or polling places without consulting legislators and getting a majority of chairmen of district parties to agree.
The bill now moves to the senate.
