House passes ban on flavored e-cigarettes to minors

BISMARCK, N.D. - The House has passed a bill that would put a ban on flavored e-cigarette liquid sales to minors.

The vote was 60-33. The fine for violating the law is $500 per package sold.

Rep. Rick Becker, R-Bismarck, said that the bill overlaps with what is already in law, and that what is trying to outlaw, is already illegal.

Rep. Robin Weisz, R-Hurdsfield, said the bill was put forward to create a steeper fine for selling the flavored e-liquid.

The bill now heads to the Senate.
