MANDAN, ND - From Puerto Rico to North Dakota, a new business owner is taking his style international.
Josue Rodriguez Perez has worked as a barber for 13 years, 10 in Puerto Rico and three in North Dakota.
In 2019, Joseu made the switch from barber to barbershop owner.
"I moved to North Dakota to take more opportunities and I take here the American dream," he says.
Josue says his goal was to bring his personal technique to the state.
"My style is more the urban style, more the hood style. Everything is more street. That's the point, you know. To make different styles that artists see, hip hop, rappers, the urban music. That's the style that I like to do," he explains.
Josue says not only does he strive to give unique cuts, he also wanted to make his barbershop distinct.
He says his place is fun, and provides a comfortable environment for customers to bring the whole family.
If you're in need of a trendy cut, House of Fade is located at 208 West Main Street in Mandan.
