UPDATE: Lt. Tom Iverson with the North Dakota Highway Patrol says about 30 people were arrested during the Dakota Access Pipeline protest Friday.

The Morton County Sheriffs Department says Highway 6 south of Mandan is now open.

Also, several law enforcement vehicle tires were slashed at the protest site on Highway 6.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Morton County Sheriff's Department says Highway 6 is closed south of Mandan, and Highway 1806 near Fort Rice is closed due to Dakota Access pipeline protest activity.

The Morton County Shreiff's Department says Dakota Access Pipeline protesters are creating illegal road blocks and vandalizing construction equipment.
