Students at the Career Academy in Bismarck are working with fourth graders to create and animate characters.
The Roosevelt Elementary students came up with a character, and worked with the high schoolers this morning to sketch it out. From there, the older students will make it come to life by making the creations on the computer, and animating them. It's part of their digital art and photography class at the Career Academy.
“Because they're designing the character I think they have a little more invested in it and they feel more ownership over it then just taking something else and animating it,” said Digital Art and Photography teacher Kristy Horner.
In two weeks, the fourth graders will get to go to the Career Academy and see what the high schoolers have done, and help to customize the characters.
