BISMARCK, N.D. - A boy from Hazen received the gift of a lifetime. Charlie Wanzek was diagnosed with a form of leukemia and when he was granted a wish through the Make A Wish foundation, Charlie asked for a hot tub.
After the community heard about Charlie's wish, construction companies came together to build the hot tub with a special lights, Bluetooth speakers and a roof. His parents say this helps him during his recovery and say this didn't change who they are as a family.
"Well I think anytime you have something like this affect your family, you either have to come together or you're going to fall apart. So you have to choose what you're going to do and I think we chose to come together," said Angela Wanzek, Charlie's Mom.
Charlie says he was so surprised with everyone. Stay tuned for the full report, tonight on the Night Report.
