BISMARCK, N.D. - Voters may get another chance to legalize marijuana in North Dakota.

A petition submitted to the Secretary of State's Office calls for the full legalization of the plant genus cannabis.

It also directs lawmakers to establish a regulatory system for its sale.

If the Secretary of State approves the petition, 26,904 voters must sign on by July 6, 2020 for it to be placed on the November 2020 general election ballot.
