Governor Burgum signs legislation to repeal ND's Blue Laws

UPDATE: Gov. Doug Burgum has signed a repeal of North Dakota's blue laws meaning stores will soon be able to open whenever they choose on Sunday mornings.
KFYR-TV has reached out to CBL properties the operator of Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck and Dakota Square Mall in Minot to see if they will be changing their hours.
A spokesperson for the company says the malls are
"Working with their corporate office to analyze shopping centers in surrounding states to determine if or what changes will be made because of this.
Tenants and the public know as soon as we come to a decision but we haven't made an official decision yet."
Gov. Doug Burgum signed legislation Monday to repeal North Dakota’s ban on Sunday morning shopping.
The Senate approved House Bill 1097 last week after the House passed the bill in January. The change will go into effect Aug. 1.
