MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - (WCCO) Country music star Garth Brooks has announced he will be adding another show in Minneapolis.
Brooks joined Gov. Mark Dayton, albeit via conference call, Monday to talk about the added show.
Brooks had already announced he would be performing at U.S. Bank Stadium on May 4. Tickets went on sale Friday and sold out in just 90 minutes.
Gov. Mark Dayton says at least 50,000 people were still waiting to get tickets when they sold out. He took to Twitter and asked Brooks to do a encore performance, and the singer listened.
On Monday morning, Brooks said he would be adding a show for the day before the previously-announced concert. This one will be Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m., also at U.S. Bank Stadium.
These will be Garth Brooks’ first shows in the Twin Cities since the 11 shows he did in 2014.
