MINOT, N.D. – If you see a large law enforcement presence Wednesday afternoon at Minot International Airport, hear sirens, and smell smoke, don’t worry—it’s a required full-scale training exercise.
The activities will take place from roughly 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will include Minot-area law enforcement, teams from Minot Air Force Base, and healthcare officials.
Members of the public are discouraged from coming to the airport to watch or calling 9-1-1. Also, airport passengers should not panic if they witness the exercise.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires airports to complete such an exercise every three years.
