Fox News commentator speaks at Lignite Energy Council meeting

The Lignite Energy Council kicked off its annual meeting Wednesday in Bismarck with Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren giving the keynote address.

Lahren spoke about how important it is for places like North Dakota, and the middle of the country, to have their voices heard. She said the energy sector powers the country, and talked about how the industry provides jobs and cost savings across the state and country.

"That doesn't just impact North Dakota either, you're generating electricity at a cost significantly below that of all coal and natural gas power plants nationwide,” Lahren said. “That's real savings for real Americans and you should be proud of that."

Lahren also spoke on the importance of getting out and voting in both the 2018 and 2020 elections.
