BISMARCK, N.D. - A former Bismarck daycare provider has been found guilty of child abuse.

Court documents say 55-year-old Marlene Steedsman was running a daycare service when victim's mother picked the victim up from the daycare and noticed her child had bruising and lacerations around the ear.

When the victim was asked about the incident he said Steedsman tried to break his ears off because he wet his pants.

Documents say when Steedsman was approached about the incident she claimed another child was responsible for the injuries while they were wrestling.

A pre-sentencing investigation will now be conducted.
