The first case of flu has been reported in North Dakota, and the Bismarck- Burleigh Public Health unit is encouraging everyone six months and older to get their flu shots.
Walk in clinics are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through November.
"We recommend getting the flu vaccine before flu season hits. After you get the vaccine it takes about a week or so for your immune system to be protected," said Betsy Kanz, Bismarck Burleigh Public Health Services coordinator.
If you have questions, call Bismarck-Burleigh Public health at 701-355-1540. You can schedule an appointment if that works better for you.
