Fire leaves Williston home a total loss

WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston, volunteer and rural fire fighters battled a house fire for 2 1/2 hours Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Williston Fire Department, firemen responded to a call at noon at 6th Street West. A mother and three children were home at the time, but no one was injured. A family dog died in the fire, another dog survived.

The home is a total loss and the cause of the fire, which started in the kitchen, is still under investigation.

Four fire trucks, police officers and ambulances responded to the fire.

Firemen left the scene at around 2:30 p.m.
