The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $15 million grant to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians for a road construction project.

The grant is from the DOT BUILD Program.

This tribal project will reconstruct roughly nine miles of Jack Rabbit Road.

The project is the second of four phases to reconstruct the 14.25-mile Jack Rabbit Road corridor.
