Facebook scam costs Bismarck woman $850

A 67-year-old Bismarck woman lost $850 in a Facebook messenger scam.
Bismarck police say between March 8 and the 16 a woman received a Facebook message from a family friend saying she was eligible for money form the government however the family friend did not send the message.
Police say the woman called the number provided and sent $850 for handling fees.
The number called the woman back asking for more money, which led her to call police.
