FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Leaders for the cities of Fargo and West Fargo and Cass County are expected to sign a spring flood emergency declaration on Thursday.
The city of Fargo sent out a release, saying leaders from the three will sign the declaration at 4 p.m.
The declaration will provide departments and agencies the ability to take appropriate actions to manage and recover from a potential spring flood.
This is the first step in preparing to request resources for county, state and federal agencies that may be needed.
The National Weather Service issued an updated flood outlook on Thursday as well, it shows the city of Fargo has a 50% chance of the river hitting 34.8 ft. At that level, the 1st Ave N. bridge between Moorhead and Fargo would close.
