Imagine waking up to this view in the morning. Thanks to "The Magnificent Seven." you can.

It's just beautiful scenery up here. It's gorgeous country," says Twila Benz, Eastview Campground Owner.

Twila Benz owns and operates Eastview Campground. Five rustic cabins and two modern units offer visitors views of the Badlands you won't find anywhere else. Sitting on the porch and enjoying spectacular scenery is usually what folks do before or after they venture off into the great outdoors.

You've got lots of valleys and crevices all around here that go up and down. It's always an adventure to explore all the different hills and caps and every year I'm out here we try to find a different hill to go up and climb," says Weston Ronan, Breckenridge, Minnesota

Horseback riding is another popular alternative for adventure seekers.

This is the best place to ride in the state. It's the most beautiful park, it's rugged terrain, " says John Pankratz, Minot, North Dakota.

Eastview does not rent horses, but you can bring your own and board them at the Little Missouri State Park corrals located adjacent to the campgrounds. Forty-seven miles of trails wind through the park with artesian wells available for watering animals. This place is crawling with activity options.

Bird watching, hiking, horseback riding and a lot of times, just sitting on the decks of cabins and watching our summer storms as they move by can be a beautiful evening," says Benz.

If you really want to ruff it, tent camping is also popular. Eastview offers eight full hook-ups sites and ten primitive camping sites. They're open from early spring through November and the view is always spectacular.

The Eastview Campgrounds are located 18 miles north of Killdeer off of ND Highway 22. For more information phone 701-764-8000 or visit the website at:
