DICKINSON, N.D. - Trinity Catholic Schools in Dickinson is seeing a spike in enrollment.
The schools have seen a 15% increase in enrollment system-wide during the 2019-2020 school year. Which is the highest they've seen since 2002. The Preschool program also increased 60% and the schools credit that to it being open five days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Director of Mission Advancement DeAnn Scheeler says there are many reasons why the schools continue to grow.
Scheeler said, "We focus on our Catholic identity and I also think that, you know there's kind of a shortage of daycare here in town so when we added that five-day pre-kindergarten it gave an option for parents to enroll their kids in a preschool type program."
On Monday, the Dickinson school decided not to move forward.
