DICKINSON, N.D. - Sgt. Kylan Klauzer is back with the Dickinson Police Department after completing a 12-week FBI Academy training course. He says this is something he'll never forget.
"The response I given anybody who's asked me up to this point since I've been back is the best thing I've ever been able to be a part of professionally and even a large part personally," said Klauzer.
He becomes the 5th person from DPD to ever complete the training and one of only 50,000 worldwide since 1935. There's a common thing each one of them have, a yellow brick.
“If you ever meet someone that's gone through it, the first thing you look for is where is the brick, cause that's the proof in the pudding," said Klauzer.
Klauzer likes being in a select group.
“To be able to be a part of their group, and be able to share my experiences with them and vice versa, is very rewarding and something I'm looking forward to as time goes," said Klauzer.
He looks forward to sharing his experiences with other detectives.
This session's class had 222 people from 49 states and 20 countries.
