Dickinson budget holds steady for 2020
Dickinson residents shouldn't expect a large increase on property taxes in 2020.
Last week, city commissioners approved a preliminary budget for next year. City administrator Joe Gaa says they'll be levying a little over $5.7 million in property taxes for the general fund and library and airport, which is similar to 2019.
“It maintains a level budget, we're not increasing things,” Gaa said. “We're continuing to do a lot of work on street projects and our real focus is what types of quality of life projects are we doing.”
Gaa says they're excited to be able to not have to raise taxes, while still working on improvement projects around town.
