BURLEIGH COUNTY, N.D. - UPDATE (5-23-19): Misty Lee Painte, 35, from Fort Yates, and Marshall Stafford, 32, of Oregon, are facing drug charges after deputies say they found about $14,000 worth of heroin in Painte's car.
The Burleigh County Sheriff's Department also found 123 grams of methamphetamine, $4,000 in cash, equipment to weigh the drugs, and needles during a traffic stop on I-94 in Bismarck.
A deputy says he pulled Painte over for having a headlight out and driving on an expired license when he smelled marijuana, giving him probable cause to search the car.
