The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says now through December is the time to be especially alert on the road, because more deer are on the move.
The Department says most deer-vehicle accidents take place at dawn or dusk when deer are most active.
If you see one deer, expect others to be nearby.
Never swerve to miss a deer.
You risk less injury by staying on the road.
And if you spot deer ahead, slow down immediately and honk your horn.
