Dateline NBC episode features Henrikson murder-for-hire case with ties to ND
Friday's Dateline NBC will feature a murder-for-hire case that has ties to North Dakota.
The newsmagazine is looking into James Henrikson's dealings that stretched from the Pacific Northwest to the Bakken. Henrikson and his girlfriend moved to the oil patch in 2011 and got married in Minot. By 2013, he was running a major trucking operation, however, he was also ordering mob-style hits, including one on his wife.
Henrikson's then-wife found out he had a hit out on her before tragedy struck. At the time, she was still married to him.
"I walked into the sheriff, he was a friend of mine at time, and he asked me to come into his office when I'd come back into town. And they were waiting for me to tell me.
This Dateline NBC episode will air tomorrow at 8 p.m. Central Time.
