Dangerously cold wind chills this weekend

The FirstWarn viewing area will experience cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills this holiday weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning for all of North Dakota through 12 p.m. CST Monday for wind chills between -10 to -50 degrees.

Saturday night, temperatures drop to the negative upper 20s south to the negative lower 30s north.

Highs on Sunday will, once again, remain below zero. Expect these temperatures to range from the negative upper single digits to the negative lower teens followed by overnight lows in the negative 20s and 30s.

Temperatures will warm up Monday to near zero degrees.

These temperatures combined with wind chills this cold can cause frostbite to exposed skin in just 10 minutes.

Remember to take necessary precautions when spending any amount of time outside or traveling to stay warm.
