BOTTINEAU, N.D. - Dakota College at Bottineau announced Monday that the athletic department plans to add women's hockey as a new sport.

Recruiting will start right away as the program plans to compete in the 2020-21 academic year.

DCB said in a release that although it wasn't actively making plans for new sports for next year, community support was a factor in adding women's hockey.

The Lady Jacks will slot in at the Division II level of the ACHA in their first season.
