BISMARCK, N.D. - Bismarck Police say at least 33 Dakota Access Pipeline protesters were arrested for criminal trespass at Kirkwood Mall Friday.
Bismarck Police say officers responded shortly before 1 p.m. to a report of about 100 protesters inside the mall near Target.
They say mall management instructed authorities to not allow any demonstrations in or on their property. The mall is private property.
Police say protesters were asked to leave numerous times and those who didn't cooperate were taken into custody.
Authorities are still at the mall to maintain safety.
The activity didn't shut down the mall.
