MINOT, N.D. – Crews will likely spend Thursday repairing and replacing a struck water line that caused some trouble for Minot’s downtown businesses this week.
Several businesses were left with either no water or dirty water after a private contractor struck an 18-inch line Tuesday. Some downtown merchants elected to close shop earlier than planned.
A spokesperson for the city says that crews will have to replace roughly 20 feet of the line, but hope to have it repaired by Thursday.
The city says that, in the meantime, crews have redirected a nearby water line to the impacted areas until the line is fixed, and no one should be without water.
