SHERWOOD, N.D. - Every Memorial Day since 1937, the American Legion in Sherwood exchanges their colors with the Canadian Legion on the border to honor those we've lost.

The celebration is in its 82nd year.

After the legions exchange colors, the program will begin featuring a special guest.

Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., will deliver a few words to honor those who have given their lives fighting for our freedoms. After that, there will be a parade through downtown Sherwood.

Lunch will be served thanks to the Sherwood American Legion Auxiliary.

The events start at 10 AM on the border.

There is no cost to attend, but there will be an opportunity for a free will offering.
