A crowd of supporters galloped into the Saturday morning with a great fundraiser in Menoken.
Cowgirls For A Cause held their inaugural event benefiting the Edith Sanford Cancer Center.
Around 190 riders showed off their skills. Each participant needed to raise at least $100 to compete. Silent auctions also helped fund the cancer center.
Combined, the riders raised more than $35,000. Prizes are awarded to those who helped raise the most.
"We've had a lot of interest from the girls and we decided that this would be a great way to kinda give back and raise money for a great cause," said Bill Beard, event organizer.
Cowgirls For a Cause now wants to make this an annual event. Next year they hope to have 300 riders and raise $150,000.
