BISMARCK, N.D. - The Burleigh County Commission is considering whether or not to sell part of the Missouri Valley Complex land.
Commissioners decided Monday night to get an appraisal and realtor for six lots on the northeast portion of the land. They say it won't disturb the master plan they created a couple years ago. Commissioner Jerry Woodcox says there is interest in the property.
“I think we should sell one or that's my opinion and I’ve thought that all along for quite a while that we've got some good marketable property and we've got 300 and some acres available so it's not like we need all of it for a project we would want,” Woodcox said.
Commissioners are unsure who owns the property, if it's the county or the county park board.
