MINOT, N.D. - Wednesday in Bottineau County is the start of a year long National Diabetes Prevention Program.
This program is offered for pre-diabetic men and women over the age of 18 who want to make a lifestyle change.
For one year, you will meet with trained lifestyle coaches who will teach you about strategies to help lose weight, exercise more and decrease the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
There is a registration fee, but it is unique. You pay $50 upfront and if you complete the entire program, you are reimbursed the full amount.

This weekend in Ward County, if you ride a Fatbike, this is the perfect weekend activity for you.
Starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Bison Plant Trail, is a Frozen Bizon Fatbike Race.
The race is three hours long on 4.2 miles of race track.
Tire width must be at least 3 point 7 inches wide with no more than 8 PSI for tire pressure.
After the first race, another one hour race called the Baby Bizon Fatbike Race will start immediately after.
