Congressman Kevin Cramer's son in ICU

BISMARCK, N.D. - Rep. Kevin Cramer's 35-year-old son Isaac is in critical condition at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, according to the Associated Press.

Kevin's wife Kris posted Saturday morning on social media that, "His liver and kidneys are failing, and they've asked us to call family."

The congressman said in a statement that he and his wife will disclose the cause of their son's illness later but for now are asking for privacy and prayers.

Cramer announced in February he would seek a fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, instead of running for the senate, citing family reasons for his decision.

Just last week, Cramer announced he would instead run for the U.S. Senate seat, currently held by Sen. Heidi Heitkamp D-N.D.
