MINOT, N.D. - Doctors have moved Andrew Gudmunson, a 31-year-old Minot man shot during the Las Vegas attack, out of intensive care, though he remains hospitalized.
Gudmunson’s father said that his condition has improved, and he can communicate with loved ones and even walk around.
His father said doctors moved him out of the ICU on Monday.
Gudmunson is recovering from a series of surgeries after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the attack.
As of the beginning of the week, Gudmunson was one of at least 45 survivors of the shooting still hospitalized.
Investigators say 58 people were killed in the attack and at least 527 injured.
Survivors of the attack are organizing a vigil in Minot next Tues., Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Duane Carlson football stadium, in conjunction with other cities across the country.
