There's a lot to clean up when leaves start falling from the trees.

Volunteers in Minot gave the Roosevelt Park Zoo some help with their autumn housekeeping by raking leaves and cleaning up trash around the facility.

Many volunteers came on their own, but there was a big presence from the local Air Force JROTC program.

For these young folks, cleaning up the zoo is just one of the many ways they plan on helping out the community this fall.

“It feels great. It’s nice to help and see people that are appreciative of the help because everyone needs it,” said Air Force JROTC Corps Commander Isaac Yatzeck.

There will be another zoo cleanup on Oct. 13 starting at 10 a.m.
