BISMARCK, N.D. - A judge ordered a Colorado man to serve five years in prison Tuesday following an investigation into a national cybertip of child pornography.
Prosecutors had charged 30-year-old Duc Anthony Nguyen with 10 counts of child porn possession, a class C felony, and five counts of promoting the content, a Class A felony.
Minot Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing Exploited Children in Dec. of 2016 of pornographic images of children uploaded to Twitter.
Nguyen changed his plea to guilty on eight of the charges last July. The other seven were dropped.
After release, Nguyen will serve three years of supervised probation, with a five-year suspended sentence.
Nguyen will also have to register as a sex offender.
