Class B State Wrestling

FARGO, N.D. - Lisbon would claim their second State Wrestling Title on Saturday scoring 223 points through out the state wrestling tournament while the Broncos would claim the Class B dual title on Friday. South Border would finish second scoring 197 points. Velva would finish third with New Salem/ Almont coming home in fourth and Carrington rounding out the top five.

Local athletes winning individual state titles are at 106 pounds Cole Gerhardt of New Salem/Almont. Winning a title at 113 pounds was Peyton Tuhy of Hettinger/Scranton. The 120 pound state title was won by Marshall Lindgren of South Border​.

The 126 pound title is heading to Williams County thanks to the victory by Ethan Wonser. Clay Gerhardt of New Salem/Almont won the 132 pound title.

South Border would win their second individual title thanks to a win by Mark Jochim. The 195 Pound title was won by Coy Spooner of Des-Lacs Burlington/Lewis & Clark.

The Holsteins would claim their third individual title with a win in the 220 pound weight class by Adam Morman. Napoleon/G-S​ Senior Garrett Jangula won his 4th state title winning the 170 pound title. Jangula was also named the Senior wrestler of the year in Class B.
