A Bismarck man is charged with child abuse for shaking and throwing a 2-month-old child.
Twenty-seven-year-old Andrew Procive is accused of shaking an infant for 20 to 30 seconds on Jan. 9.
Bismarck Police say Procive “slammed” the child into the couch, and shook her again while walking to the bedroom.
Officers says Procive shook her a total three times, before “slamming” her on to a mattress.
The infant was taken to Sanford hospital, where it was discovered the child had bruising on the forehead, eye, tongue and had a brain bleed.
The child was then air lifted to Fargo.
Officers say Procive admitted to shaking the child, and said he had anger management problems.
