A Bismarck man is charged with child abuse in connection to a broomstick attack on a 13-year-old family member.
Bismarck Police Department's Public Information Officer Lt. Luke Gardiner says officers arrested 30-year-old Youness Moussaid.
Officers say the abuse was reported by school representatives.
Moussaid is accused of hitting the child with a broomstick after finding out she was changing out of her Islamic garb at school.
A judge set his bond Friday morning to $2,500 and no contact with the victim.
