Central Campus Career Fair hosts more than 100 professionals from community
Central Campus held their annual career fair Tuesday.
This is the school's 14th year holding the fair.
Designed to help students make decisions about their future and learn about careers they may be interested in, the fair hosted more than 100 presenters from the community including Minot Police, Fire Department and meteorologist Kate Nagel.
The district's career counselor says the event is helpful for the whole community.
"This is really a community event. I have a lot of presenters here from businesses but also a lot of professors come here from the college. It gives them a chance to recruit and mentors kids and help kids get to where they want to be someday," says Steve Beutler, Minot Public Schools Career Counselor.
The counselor adds that many students find and stick with a career path after attending the Central Campus Career Fair.
