Canadian man dies in motorcycle crash near Grassy Butte

GRASSY BUTTE, N.D. - UPDATE: The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 55-year-old man Canadian man who died after a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon is Randy Moore of Warman, Saskatchewan.


ORIGINAL STORY: A 55-year-old Canadian man has died after a motorcycle crash in North Dakota Sunday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was traveling with a group of motorcycles from Regina, Saskatchewan to Sturgis, South Dakota on U.S. Highway 85.

Troopers say the crash happened near Grassy Butte when the man lost control and was thrown from his motorcycle when he swerved to miss a car that crossed over the center line and into his lane. He died at the scene. The man's name has not yet been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
