MINOT, N.D. - It's a holiday tradition that many people clear their calendars for, the night the Canadian Pacific holiday train rolls through their town! The train lead to a big celebration in downtown Minot Thursday.
People gathered near the Christmas tree downtown to get a look at the train. Even with the bitter cold, the night melted into smiling faces, dancing, and in awe reactions of the train.
There was hot coco and food and the donation center was present.
"Raising awareness of hunger and also raising food for the food pantries. Now this is an awesome thing because they're pretty huge organization," said Mac McLeod, Minot Area Homeless Coalition.
The CP Holiday train festivities wrapped up around 7:15 pm then headed to Kenmare around 8:30 p.m. this evening.
