BISMARCK, N.D. - CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck joined other hospitals around the state in restricting visitors because of the flu.
In a statement released Wednesday morning, the hospital said visitation will be restricted to immediate family only.
They also said anyone showing flu-like symptoms should not visit.
Other hospitals in Dickinson, Bismarck and Minot have issued similar limitations.
The North Dakota Department of Health says the flu season won't be ending anytime soon.
"It could be a couple of weeks, it could be up to a month or two. We hope it will be a couple weeks until they taper off. But influenza can be unpredictable so it's good to take precautions," said Jill Barber, North Dakota Department of Health epidemiologist.
All the hospitals say the restrictions will stay in place until further notice.
