Burlington City Council appoints new auditor
The city council for Burlington has appointed a new city auditor, roughly a week after the town’s longtime auditor resigned.
At a special council meeting Wednesday evening, the council voted to appoint Nichole Degenstein to serve as the town’s auditor.
Diane Fugere resigned as auditor, after serving in that role for 15 years. Her last day was Sept. 6.
Degenstein needs to formally accept the job.
